Monday, Feb. 10, 2014
- I was watching the old Doris Day / James Garner movie called “Move Over Darling” on Netflix and was surprised how much Doris Day reminded me of Jennifer Aniston. They look a lot alike and the character Doris was playing seemed so similar to one that Jennifer would have played. Turns out I’m not the only one who’s compared them.

- Truth Bomb: Thoughts create feelings not the other way around. Therefore, if you don’t want to feel bad, don’t think about things that make you feel bad. And if you want to feel good, then think about things that make you feel good. The difference between generally happy people, and generally sad (or mad, or whatever) people is their ability to change (or create) their thoughts to what they want them to be. (I have a post written about this, but I’m not quite ready to put it out there.)

- I learned that Betty Davis’s famous line, “Fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.” was from the movie “All About Eve.” She really did deliver it fabulously!
- From the same movie (and to continue my comparisons of actresses of old to those of today), Anne Baxter reminded me uncannily of a young Kathleen Turner. And yet again, I’m not the only one who’s thought this!

There are a lot of fun old movies!
Yeah, I’ve been trying to watch more of them on Netflix lately (as you can tell from this post!).
I don’t know if you have Roku or not but if you do there is a free channel called Pub-D-Hub. It has all kinds of old movies and shows in various genres. I get a kick out of the old training and motivational films. Some of the old commercials are fun too.
